Starting Weight: 76.1 kg
Ending Weight: 76.7 kg
Final Result: gained .6 kg
I had a Christmas party today, but it was just at the kid’s school. So while I didn’t eat that much at a 2-hour party, it certainly didn’t help me, either. I started at 76.1 kg and ended at 76.7 kg. So that was a weight gain of .6 kg.
What may have hurt me even worse is a 17-ounce can of coconut juice. While I don’t know how much sugar there was in that, it certainly tasted like sweetened juice. I really don’t recommend juice at all except pure juice. And even that should probably be in smaller amounts. I don’t mean using a juicer to drink pure and natural vegetable juice. That kind of juice is probably just fine for most people and maybe even a good choice. I have not tested juicing using vegetables. But juicing using fruit could potentially result in high carbohydrate intake.
I started the run at 78.4 kg, which was ridiculous. That’s why I felt compelled to push it and go for 2 hours. In no way was I even planning to do 2 hours of running 2 days in a row. But when I saw that 78.4 kg, it was clear what needed to be done.
I was at a disappointing 77.2 after the 2-hour jog. I would have expected a lot more than that. It’s not clear why it wasn’t more. Nonetheless, it was still a good workout.
The most unexpected result today is that I lost very little weight while sleeping. I only went down to 76.7 kg after being about 77.3 kg at bedtime. And I didn’t even drink anything after the run, whereas I often drink a lot of water.
The last 2 days have not been good. I have run for 4 hours (2 hours each day) and actually gained .2 kg overall. This is just poor no matter how you look at it. Yes, I cheated some on Day 89. But Day 88 was not a cheating day after somewhat of a cheat day on Day 87.
I am tired, but I have no choice but to keep working out. This is a constant trouble trying to maintain my weight. And I am about 3 pounds over now. So I am back to needing to lose a little, not just maintain.
I will never try to convince someone that it is easy to lose or maintain weight. The purpose of my Pentamize book is to help people find a way to track everything so they can lose weight and maintain after reaching their goal. However, you have to be ready to do the work. For me, it’s worth the effort. Hopefully, it is worth it for you, too.
